HISTORY Rocks! offers Fall and Spring semester long, weekly small group enrichment courses and short term, seminar style classes. Each course provides in depth Socratic, collaborative, creative, and hands on activities to enrich a traditional social studies curriculum. The goal is to foster critical thinking while developing a passion for life-long learning.

 

In the summer of 2017, to better serve and support homeschooling families in the El Dorado County area, Laura Chiappe co-founded FOOTHILL LEARNING ACADEMY with the mission to support parent participation in education by organizing superior enrichment and supplemental classes for homeschool and charter school families. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, California public benefit corporation, Foothill Learning Academy collaborates with independent instructors, including HISTORY Rocks with Mrs. Chiappe, to offer high quality classes to home study students in and around El Dorado County. Foothill Learning Academy is not a school or a charter school. ​
